The upcoming EXPO 2027 Belgrade marks a milestone as the first Specialized Expo to be hosted in the Western Balkans. This large-scale international exhibition will transform Belgrade into a hub of innovation and development, requiring modern, efficient, and sustainable construction solutions.
Among the various construction works, precast concrete sandwich wall elements are being used for façades and enclosures across the site. To ensure safe and efficient installation, Terwa supplied sandwich panel anchors and provided engineering support for lifting and connecting these elements.
These panels deliver strong thermal performance, enhanced durability, and faster construction timelines — qualities that make them a reliable and efficient solution for a project of this scale.
Terwa's Contribution
To support the development of the EXPO 2027 facilities, Terwa’s Engineering Team carried out structural calculations and provided technical guidance for the lifting and connection of precast concrete sandwich wall elements.
Based on the project’s structural and handling requirements, three of Terwa’s sandwich panel anchor systems were specified:

SA-SP
|
SA-SP Sandwich Panel Anchors – designed for upright lifting, rotation, and safe handling of sandwich wall elements. Their geometry positions the suspension point close to the element’s centre of gravity, ensuring stable and efficient lifting. All anchors are CE-certified, meeting European safety and performance standards. |

TFA
|
TFA Load Bearing Anchors – connecting the outer façade layer to the inner load-bearing layer while transferring vertical and horizontal loads such as self-weight, eccentric effects, wind, and warping forces. These anchors also prevent twisting of the façade layer, maintaining correct alignment and long-term structural stability. |

TVB
|
TVB Wire Anchors – supporting the system by transferring perpendicular forces between the inner and outer layers, generated by wind pressure, thermal expansion, and adhesion to the formwork. This ensures overall integrity and flexibility of the composite sandwich wall element. |
